Jayne Dowle
Jayne Dowle lives in South Yorkshire in 1920s house she renovated, with her two children, a three-legged cat and a Staffie rescue dog. She spends most of her free time either working on DIY projects, messing about in the garden or scouring antiques shops, car boot sales and flea markets for treasures. Her personal interiors style is eclectic, combining boho English country house with ideas she picks up on her travels; Morocco is her favourite style influence right now.
Jayne Dowle is an award-winning freelance homes, interiors, gardening and property writer who writes about everything from cushions to country house history, for publications including Sunday Times Home, Times Bricks & Mortar, Grand Designs, House Beautiful, Country Living and Homes & Gardens. Awarded the Garden Journalist of the Year accolade at the Property Press Awards in 2021, she’s co-author of The Repair Shop: Life in The Barn (2022), The Repair Shop: Crafts in the Barn (2023) and is about to start work on a third ‘Repair Shop’ book for 2024.
